Pine Tar Limit

Question?

Zach Montgomery asks:

How far up the barrel of a bat can you put pine tar?

The batter is allowed to put pine tar up to 18 inches up the handle from the bat's knob.

Once a violation of this rule is noticed, the batter will be instructed to use a different bat until the illegal amount of pine tar has been removed from the bat.
